Main Duties
Hi! We are a children’s toy and media start-up aiming to produce the market’s first designer connecting wooden toys. An example can be seen on the picture in our ad/profile.
We’d like to emphasis that the animals we feature are critically endangered, to promote conservation. We’re committed to donating a portion of our profits, after we break even, to NGOs working in conservation.
We’re looking for someone with access to a woodworking facility to help us prototype our designs.
Your duties would mainly be to:
- Receive and make prototype of the designs sent to you (and as part of this, order/procure wood, and/or work with a CNC engineer)
- Provide feedback on how to make the shapes or design more efficient and therefore cost-effective for manufacturing
Skills and Experience Required
You’d need to:-
- Be fluent in 3D modeling software including Rhino, Fusion 360, etc. and to be able to read STEP, CAD files and the like.
- Have access to a workshop. We’re happy to consider paying a part of your membership/access fees. We’ll of course pay for the wood!
- Be well versed with woodworking, familiar with the nature of wood, etc.
- Be resourceful, to think out of the box (at times) and creative to solve the little roadbumps which come our/your way.
We’re hoping for someone who really loves woodworking, and is enthusiastic about creating the best, most elegant, wooden toys around.
